Commencing in 1971 as a "Weed Schools", the NSW Weeds Conference has since grown to become recognised as the premier event in New South Wales to discuss noxious weeds and related vegetation issues. The event brings together weeds experts from government, business, academic, and volunteer backgrounds to discuss past and emerging issues for the control of weeds. The 15th Biennial Conference’s theme is “The Old and the New” (Changes in Weed Management) and aims to provide attendees with a history on weed management (successes, failures, and change), current weeds control activities, and a vision of the future for weeds management as a result of changing: technologies, demographics in rural and urban areas, and improved transport as a result of trade globalisation. This years conference will be held in the town of Narrabri. The bustling town of Narrabri is the largest in Narrabri Shire and is the focal point for business, shopping, sports and entertainment. Narrabri is a scenic beauty with the Namoi River Flowing through the town centre and residents enjoying spectacular views of the Nandewar Ranges. Narrabri is set amongst the most fertile agricultural land in the North West Slopes and Plains. The conference will be held at The Crossing Theatre which is the premier conference venue in country New South Wales. Opened in 2003, this facility is an $8 million state-of-the-art complex set on the banks of the picturesque Namoi River. Conference Registrations is now closed. Gold Principle Sponsors
